The Pairing. Yes, I am finally going to say it. The pairing for this story is W/A romance, W/S bloody-good friendship. I know some of you won't like that and perhaps feel betrayed, (a friend recently told me that I was in the same league as Joss Whedon and Chris Carter when it comes to evilness - NOT when it comes to talent though ;-) But she meant it as a compliment! ) All I can say is that it was my intention from the day I began writing TYT/IAT to create a W/A romance and a W/S friendship to rival Kirk and Spock. (And I mean on the show, not in fanfic, so all of you Kirk/Spock shippers hush up ;-) )
That said, when I began TYT, I was also planning on it being around 15-20 chapters. I had NO idea it would go on so long, but once I got started, I wanted to do it right, you know? As a result, I did not go into as much depth with the W/humanAngelus relationship as I should have. My bad. But again, I had no idea when I was writing those early chapters what I had gotten myself into. Well, there isn't much I can do about that now, nor would I take back a single thing that I had happen between Willow and Spike, because it was all necessary.

Okay...I'm going to lay all my cards on the table here, for a change. I have planned to write 4 stories in this series--TYT, IAT, 'Some Other Time', and finally 'Time Will Tell'. While all of the stories will contain Willow, Angel and Spike, the 4th story will be much more to the W/S shippers liking. It will still have W/A elements to it, enough to keep the W/A shippers happy, I think, but it is primarily a W/S romance/angst story. And YES, I CAN pull that off both W/A and W/S without it being a copout, but you'll have to read to believe, won't you? On that note, I will also say that when I finally finish IAT, it will be a complete story. It won't be like TYT in that you really had to read IAT to see what happened. You can quit with IAT and be a happy camper...and that is what I recommend that you do, if you don't like change. Well, I think that's it. On with the story.
